I'm starting a new series on the blog called INSPIRED! I find inspiration everywhere and in everything. That's part of the reason my blog is called what it is because I like to take inspiration from different places. I find inspiration in emotions, light, color, patterns, nature, stories and I hope to share that in this series. I'm a big pinterester for that reason! It helps me organize my "thoughts". My pinterest account is fedfooda if you're interested in following me :)
Floral is something I always come back to for inspiration in my clothing. Lately I've been really in love with the Russian babushka style scarves. I love the vibrant color in the roses and the intricate ethnic feeling details that bring you back to an older time. In the past I've worn floral in a bright and bubbly way but I've really been into black and white and an overall darker mood these days. I'm looking forward to exploring and experimenting with a darker floral experience this spring and summer.
Are any of you enjoying floral prints? How do you incorporate them into your personal style?
Stay inspired,
Feda
I love the florals and these photos are awesome! Very fitting for the start of Spring. Excellent job! I just bought a brand new Vera Bradley bag in a gorgeous floral print. It's really nice and perfect for spring. It has lots of pink and green in it. I like the idea of the Inspired series. I look forward to seeing the posts, for I always enjoy your posts. Have a good night and I hope that the angels smile at you all night long. :)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Pretty colors! Looking forward to spring but it looks like the cold is holding on tight this winter.
DeleteThank you so much! I always appreciate your lovely comments!! Much love <3
You're welcome. I look forward to Spring too. And you're right about the cold holding on. In fact, I knew even before the beginning of the winter that we were in for a tough and long one. There were signs all around: Plants growing extremely high last summer, a large store of honey, early departure of birds, very tough apple skin, trees holding their leaves this past autumn and a huge crop of acorns. Those are all signs of a rough winter ahead and I saw every one of these signs towards the middle and end of last Summer and mid-Autumn. But anyway, lets think Spring. It will be here before we know it and I wish you a wonderful and happy Spring. Keep up the good work here and stay as creative as you are. Many warm wishes for you and your family. xxoo
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy posting comments here and you are ever so welcome. :)
DeleteI love florals with a black background especially!! I just thrifted a beautiful scarf that fits that description. ( I'll send you a pic because you'll smile when you see it...the synchronicity.) I love the idea of your series and look forward to being inspired by it. I'm getting crazy inspiration being here in Portland. It's beautiful. Xxxooo
